Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to orders placed with Piece of Cake in Invercargill, New Zealand.

Orders and confirmation

An online custom order is confirmed only when the required deposit or full payment has been successfully received and the system confirms the booking. Wedding consultations are appointments and do not by themselves confirm a final wedding cake order.

Prices and additional work

Prices are based on the options selected and information supplied. Highly detailed, technically complex or additional work outside the selected options may incur an additional charge. Where practical, we will communicate material additional charges before completion. Agreed additional charges may be payable before delivery or at pickup.

Design and customisation

Reference images are inspiration rather than a guarantee of an identical handmade result. Colours, decorations and finishes may vary slightly. Customers are responsible for providing accurate dietary, allergy, spelling, date and delivery information.

Pickup and delivery

Customers should collect orders at the confirmed time. Delivery is available only to supported areas and may carry a delivery fee or additional charge based on the delivery location. The website may reject addresses outside the supported delivery area.

Availability

Dates and times are subject to production capacity. A slot is not guaranteed until the system successfully reserves it. Google Calendar events may also block availability.

Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand consumer law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986.
