Piece of Cake respects your privacy and handles personal information in accordance with New Zealand privacy law.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, email, phone number, delivery address, order and custom cake details, wedding consultation details, messages, uploaded inspiration images, booking information and payment status. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider and are not intended to be stored by Piece of Cake.
How we use it
We use personal information to process orders, prepare cakes, arrange pickup or delivery, manage bookings, communicate with you, prevent double bookings, maintain business records and improve our service.
Service providers
We may use service providers such as Cloudflare, Google Calendar and transactional email or payment providers where necessary to operate the service. Information is shared only as reasonably required for those functions.
Storage, retention and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information and retain it only for legitimate business, legal and operational purposes. Temporary order-report links are designed to expire.

This policy is intended to operate consistently with the Privacy Act 2020. It should be reviewed before commercial launch if the business processes materially change.
